Who We Are
The mission of the United States Marine Corps Scout Sniper Association (USMC SSA) is to support the Scout Sniper community through programs that inspire brotherhood, encourage professionalism, and foster resiliency. Our community is comprised of those who have carried the long gun, those who have enabled our successes on the battlefield, and our families who have stood with us.
The USMC SSA works and partners with other nonprofit veterans’ organizations whose missions align with ours.
What We Do
We recognize the outstanding achievements of our brother Marines, past and present. We honor the sacrifices of those who have bled and fallen in the service of our Nation. We support the active sniper community through advocacy and material support, and we strengthen the Scout Sniper Community through camaraderie and by being our brother’s keeper.
Why We Do It
Our community is small and full of quiet professionals who don’t advertise their struggles. These Marines paid dearly to gain entrance to our community, and many paid an even higher price adding laurels to our Nation’s honors. We know the fallen are never really gone as long as we continue to speak their names. For those who have suffered from war, we commit to standing beside our brothers, helping them transition to a peaceful, productive life after service. For the families who continue to overcome challenges great and small resulting from years of standing by their Marine, we now stand with them to provide whatever support they require.
